a few updates :)

Daddy and Tate showing off their Wild gear. We were super disappointed with how the Twins did, again, but knew that the Wild season was upon us. Even Ellie loves hockey. Matt says that both the kids will play...we will see. From what I've been told, hockey equipment is spendy and STINKY! :)

She asks to hold him everyday. We get home from daycare and she runs to the chair, grabs the pillow, and waits for me to bring him to her. I was so worried that she wouldn't like the new baby, but she has done incredible. I am so proud of my girl! It helps that Tate is such a lovable, snuggly baby too!
I love how excited she is to hold him. We can barely get her to smile any other time, but if she's holding Tate, she's beaming!

We are adjusting to life as a family of four. It's taken us some time, but things are settling in nicely. Tate is a great eater, which had me worried for a bit, but I've managed to catch up. I'm sure he'll go on another eating tear soon, but until then...
Ellie started preschool at her daycare and is soaking in all kinds of good stuff. She recognizes most letters and can tell you their sound. I catch her singing the days of the week song often, especially when she thinks no one is listening. :) She also gets to be part of a music class once a week at daycare. She loves to sing and dance along with her friends.
Matt has been happy so far at his new job. We are so grateful this job came when it did. He started at HealthPartners Sept. 7th. It's a nice short commute and we get great health insurance for the entire family.
I am on leave until December 1st. I feel like that date is racing toward me; I feel more anxious to go back with Tate than I did with Ellie. We are fortunate enough to have two people that will watch Tate until he is 3 months old. Matt's sister, Bet and our good friend Nikki both agreed to take a few days to ease my mind. Nikki and Bet also watched Ellie before she started daycare as well. We know he'll be in great hands!
We are so blessed to have two healthy, beautiful children and loving, kind family and friends. Thank you for everything you've all done for us!

Yes hockey is an expensive sport and I know from experience that the equipment is very stinky.
